Lionel Richie Describes Making A Perfume As More Difficult Than Creating Music

Lionel RIchie created his own perfume and named it after his hit song, “Hello.” Richie said perfume not only influences our moods and memories but also impacts day-to-day life. According to Allure, he said while he always loved fragrance, he didn’t have the tools to create his ideal scent. He compared the fragrance business with music, saying there’s more notes in creating a perfume than a song. Richie said the combination of smells seemed like it would not make sense but at the end it was “exquisite.”
