This film has been compiled using excerpts from Karratha and Dampier residents footage obtained during and after Cyclone Damien hit the region on the 8th of February 2020. Audio excerpts are from various media coverage which reported on the cyclone. The song in the second half of the film was written whilst I was locked down on red alert as the destruction occurred outside.
I cant credit everyone who submitted their footage as there are so many it is impractical but I do thank everyone who did send their footage in.
All in all its just a bit of fun and a visual memory of what occurred over that weekend. For decades to come Cyclone Damien will not be forgotten by those who experienced it.
