Bored of Planks? Try These Different Plank Variations! -MoveU Start Fixin Yo’ Self -

Tired of the same old boring planks? Ready to challenge yourself in new ways? Need some spark into your workouts to keep your mind on the movement and off of your to-do list? Here you go! Try out these three variations in your next workout. Challenge a partner to see who can maintain it the longest. You know the drill… tag us in your videos. We want to see you suffer.

The first variation, with @MoveUShirtlessDude, uses a small loop resistance band. If you need an easier version do this without the band. You can vary the level of resistance based on your level of strength. If you need help finding good bands visit moveu.com/favorites. Be sure to maintain all the checkpoints in your plank. If you aren’t sure what those are, go look at our plank post from two days ago and read the text!⁣

The second variation, with @MoveUKatie (that’s me!), applies some nice spinal twisting. Be sure to keep the shoulders pointing toward the floor and try to get as much rotation of the hips as possible while maintaining the position of the shoulders. Take some nice deep inhales into this position to create even more expansion and space in the twist. Be sure to do it both directions and aim for the same amount of time each way. ⁣

The third variation, with @KujiKeelie, is a fun one! You can use any objects to do this- get creative! Tag us in your adventures. You can build things, make things, clean things, sort laundry piles… the possibilities are endless. Let’s see what you can do! Just don’t lose focus and sacrifice the form! ⁣
