How to build a winning pitch & Engage investors?

How to build a winning pitch & Engage investors? How to build a winning pitch to get investors to invest in your business?

We live in an environment where entrepreneurship is romanticized.
If you are looking to build a winning business plan, you have to engage investors into your story. You have to make them care about your business.
How do you do that?
First find something you are really passionate about, because being an entrepreneur and having your own business is a lot of hard work and it can be lonely sometimes, so only go into business when your are really passionate about something and if there is a problem that you are solving for, perhaps one that has affected you personally.
If there is a problem that you face, chances are that other people also face that problem. Look for a problem that exists that you are passionate about solving and then find a solution for it.
Sara Blakely (creator of Spanx) created Spanx out of necessity, she faced a problem and by solving it, she was also able to help millions of other people and was able to create a market for her product.
A really powerful tool you can use is Don Miller's Story Brand which i learned about at Tony Robbins Business Master to engage your customers and guide them through to purchase.
Don’t try to be the hero in your story, engage your customer as the hero and guide them along overcoming the villian (which is the problem your business is solving for) and they will rally with you and support you.
Don’t complicate it. Investors invest in people, so be the person they want to invest in. For example, Jeff Bezos, wherever he goes we will want to follow him, because we know he is able to build a successful business (look what he did with Amazon). People invested in Steve Jobs when he was starting out Apple, at that time we didn’t know what the Commodore 64 would become, people invested in him. So be the person that people believe in and want to invest in.
Don’t complicate it, a good business plan and proposal should be simple, and engage the audience, and take them along a journey with you.
Good Luck!
