IB: Authorial Choices & Global Issues: Different Forms, Different Choices & Framing Global Issues How do we figure out which authorial choices are worth investigating for the new IB Individual Oral? It depends on the form. The sets of choices we might want to examine are different for poetry than they are for drama, for example. This video looks at the type of authorial choices that a unique to particular forms (dramatic irony) and those type of choices that are common to all forms (metaphor, symbol). Also, how should we frame our global issues? What type of language should we use? How you frame your issue has a huge impact of the range of choices you want to examine in your oral.
