When this video starts, Valor 1 has been brooding the eggs since about 7:43 am. Valor 2 did get to brood for around 55 minutes before that, when he took over from Starr early this morning. At the beginning of the video, V2 just arrived on the nest several seconds before. It took around 6 minutes for V1 to finally give over brooding duty to V2. But V2 is only brooding for around 6 minutes, when V1 is back with a long stick. Of course, while he is placing it, V1 & the stick are really annoying to V2, so he leaves, which gives brooding duty back to V1. Almost 2 hours later, Starr comes in, trying to get V1 to leave, but he is still being stubborn, so she leaves. Almost an hour later, V1 is watching something. He gets up to leave, because he is acting concerned. I imagine it is an intruder. Only this action gives Starr brooding duty. So in the previous 6+ hours, V1 was with the eggs the whole time except the 6 minutes he allowed V2 to have. © 2020 StewardsUMRR,JCWiFi
