Contrary to popular believe, Malaysia is one of the most inexpensive places in southeast Asia. It is cheaper than Thailand and Laos from my experiences. Not only is the monetary value of goods and service inexpensive, but they have excellent quality and value to them, deeming the country very budget friendly for travel.
